International work offers many opportunities to all who visit other countries through the BCPP international links.
It provides the following:
May 2017 - A visit by one UK headteacher, two SENCOs, and three early years teachers for the final international job shadowing experiences in Eskilstuna, to complete the 2015 - 2017 Erasmus+ funded work, took place.
February 2017 - BCPP/Eskilstuna Kommun submitted an Erasmus+ bid for the 2017 -2019 round of funding.
October 16 - A visit by three UK headteachers, three SENCo’s, and two English as additional language teachers for an international job shadowing experience in Eskilstuna.
June 16 - Visit by two secondary Eskilstuna teachers to a Birmingham secondary school.
May 16 - A visit by two UK headteachers, three SENCo’s, one English as an additional language teacher and three early years teachers for international job shadowing experiences in Eskilstuna.
March 16 - Two Eskilstuna students visited Birmingham to participate in a work placement.
October 2015 - Logistical planning visit to Eskilstuna Education Department by BCPP officers in preparation for work shadowing opportunities. Officers visited the schools to be used in this work shadowing interchange at the expense of the BCPP.
June 2015 - Informed Erasmus+ bid successful.
February 2015 - Erasmus+ bid submitted for 2015 -2017.
September 2014 - Pre-planning visit to Eskilstuna in preparation for an Erasmus+ bid by BCPP officers. BCPP officers visited the Eskilstuna International coordinator, a local university and the Eskilstuna Education Department. Thera were also visit of students from Newman University to Eskilstuna in this month.
September 2014 - Planning visit and visit of students from Newman University.
March 2014 - A visit by eight UK headteachers to Eskilstuna in March for job shadowing took place.
January 2014 - Students visited Eskilstuna from Newman University.
October 2013 - A visit by eight Headteachers from Eskilstuna to Birmingham for job shadowing took place.
2013 - The Director visited Eskilstuna Education Department and the schools to be used in this work shadowing interchange in March 2013, again at the expense of the BCPP. University links were set up as a result.
2012 - The study visit leader and eight teachers from the linked schools visited Eskilstuna to attend a Comenius Preparatory Visit. Programme of visits has gone on for the last five years from the Comenius Multi-lateral Programme.
2012 - Visit by staff and students from Eskilstuna to Birmingham.
2011 - Visit by senior managers to Eskilstuna.
2010 - Visit by staff and students from Eskilstuna to Birmingham.
October 2009 - Saw a reciprocal visit by seven of the participating Swedish schools (twenty-one teachers and twelve students) to Birmingham (18 October 2009 to 22 October 2009).
March 2009 - Nine senior managers involved in curriculum-based projects visited Eskilstuna. The visit ended with signings of Memorandums of Understanding. On-going links and collaborative work have continued with this group to date.
December 2008 - The study visit leader and three teachers from the linked schools visited Eskilstuna to attend a Comenius Preparatory Visit.
September 2008 - The Chief Education Officer from Eskilstuna and the International Coordinator visited Birmingham to view schools and to plan for further cooperation.
June 2008 - Two teachers from the Nature School of Eskilstuna visited Birmingham to view the environmental support centres and schools.
March 2008 - The study visit coordinator visited Eskilstuna to:
2007 - This was followed by a reciprocal visit by five of the participating Swedish schools in Autumn 2007. This party was made up of eighteen teachers and four pupils.
October 2006 - The first link established by BCPP schools with Swedish schools, took the form of a Teachers International Professional Development visit by five UK schools to Eskilstuna.
